Replications are both fun and challenging. Our goal is to produce an exact copy of your item. When making a replica, we count every inch and stitch and chart the item to make as exact a replica as possible. Colors and materials are closely matched but at times age and wear make it difficult to produce an "as is" replica. In many cases the new item will be a duplication of the original when it was new. If exact materials are unobtainable, substitute materials may be used, with your permission. In no case will materials of a lesser grade be proposed. All decorative applications are matched as best as current materials or our collected archive of antique adornments will allow.

One other thing about replicas: We can make improvements if you want. Color, hue, shape and size can be altered to make it an item that is an exact copy that is functional.

   

We need to see the item, search for matching yarn and chart the stitches. Before anything is done, we'll contact you, tell you if it’s possible and give you a price. Unfortunately, the time and effort involved in most replication work requires us to charge a $25.00 consultation and postage return fee to be sent with the item. If you decide to proceed with the work, this fee will be deducted from the project cost.
